Lolita Blog Carnival: Design a Complete Coordinate for Under $100

This week's Lolita Blog Carnival's subject is about setting up a coordinate that costs less than $100. When you start wearing Lolita more often than not, coming up with hundreds of dollars for every coordinate is not reasonable for most people. Financially, it is sensible to come up with easy coordinates that you can put together quickly, and not worry about damaging a $400 dress or $40 socks.

I was actually doing well with the strict budget, and then I found that bows purse and it was all over.

Classic Coordinate

Dress - Mystery Garden ($70)
Tights - Target ($4)
Shoes - Walmart ($20)
Purse - Claire's ($10)
Hairband - Claire's ($1)

Total: $105

In terms of how I came up with the coordinate, even in my own coordinates, I usually dress toned down and wear something that is easy to wear anywhere without being too flashy or gaudy. Also, although the dress is $70 and ate up a lot of my budget, with a lot of indie brands like Mystery Garden, everything is custom sized - so that dress will fit you perfectly! I also love the clearance racks; I very rarely purchase something if it is not on sale by a significant amount.

So if you are looking for something OTT Sweet - you are not really going to find that on my blog! I just do not enjoy those styles; but I think the people that do, do it well!

What is a Lolita Blog Carnival, and How Can I Be Involved?
It is essentially a circle of Lolita bloggers coming together to write about a similar topic to help them come up with cute post ideas, share each other's opinions and ideas, and share each other's work. To be involved, you must be an active, seasoned Lolita blogger - you can read more about the requirements in the group info at the Facebook group. Be sure to follow all the requirements to submit an application, and you can request to join. The moderators of the group include Caro from FYeahLolita, Victoria from Parfait Doll, and myself. Feel free to contact any of us about how to get involved, or with your application.
